Here are my auction pieces for cruise #7
This piece, I am extremely proud of! Every cruise we have an auction to raise money for scholarships! Each artist is allowed to submit 2 pieces from that cruise. This Beluga whale raised the most money out of any piece this summer while I was on the ship!!! I am honored that $1,500 went to the Corning Museum of Glass Scholarship Fund because of this piece!!!
And my other glass work that I am proud of:
This first piece is the newest challenge I have tackled!!!
A peacock! I pulled Murrini to look like the feathers, created a vase that captured the right shape, and hot sculpted the head and head feathers! Thanks to my team we successfully put this piece together! (This piece now lives in one of the glass cases on deck 3 port side of the Celebrity Equinox)
This was a “You Design It” piece.
The artist is a 14 year old names Ignacio Funes.
I loved that he wanted a glass shark (considering it was my turn to make the YDI and my nickname is Charky) but I truly enjoyed his explanation.
